Camera:

Both the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus got big camera improvements over the iPhone 5S (even though it sports the same 8 megapixel shooter), including sensor upgrades and better noise reduction. The iPhone 6 Plus got one of the biggest camera improvements with the welcome addition of Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Finally, there is now capabilities to take panoramic photos of up to 43 megapixels.

As for video, there is an option for slow motion video (240 fps), as well as the ability to shoot 1080p video at 60fps. There are also new burst mode features.

Display:

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus now sport "ion-strengthened" glass with improved polarizer (for better outdoor viewing), as well as an oleophobic coating (fingerprint resistance). The iPhone 6 has a 4.7 inch screen with a 1334 x 740 (326 ppi) resolution, while the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5 inch screen with a 1920 x 1080 (401 ppi) resolution.

On the iPhone 6 Plus there is an option for landscape view (due to its large size), which will display certain apps (Mail, Calendar, etc.) wider, similar to how it is shown on the iPad.

Design:

While the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have grown to become Apple's biggest iPhones yet, they have simultaneously become Apple's thinnest iPhones yet. The iPhone 6 measures in at 6.9 mm and the iPhone 6 Plus measures in at 7.1 mm. This decrease has resulted in the rear camera lens protruding from the back of the iPhone. Other changes include pill-shaped volume buttons and the lock button being put on the side of the iPhone.

Battery Life:

Both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have a larger battery, the iPhone 6 sporting a 1, 810 mAh battery and the iPhone 6 Plus with an astounding 2, 915 mAh battery. Reviews suggest that the iPhone 6 can last up to 1.5 days on a single charge and the iPhone 6 Plus can last up to 2 days. Below you can find a chart of how the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus hold up after moderate to heavy usage:

A8 Chip:

Both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have a new 64-bit A8 processor built on an advanced 20-nanometer process by TSMC. The chip is smaller than the A7 chip found in the iPhone 5S and has the ability to deliver 25% faster CPU performance, as well as being 50% more energy efficient.

                                                      New Features:

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus continue to sport Touch ID (fingerprint-based security), which first debuted on the iPhone 5S. Touch ID became even more powerful with the unveiling of Apple's new payment system, Apple Pay. Apple Pay is designed to allow users to pay for purchases at thousands of retail stores with just a fingerprint.

Issues:

Following the release of the iPhone 6 Plus on September 19, 2014, reports began to surface of bending occurring in the iPhone 6 Plus when placed in a pocket. This brought about the hashtag "Bendgate" across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. You can see a great video by Youtuber, Unbox Therapy, below to see the extent of iPhone 6 Plus bending problems (it should be noted that the amount of pressure placed on the iPhone 6 Plus in this video is unlikely to be replicated in daily life):

TechTakeover's Opinion:

Overall, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus bring huge benefits and upgrades to the table. It is revolutionary for Apple's standards in the way that it has jumped in size. I am not a big fan of the protruding rear camera and would rather have a thicker iPhone with a larger battery and no protruding camera.

Now it's your turn to decide!
